This position will provide oversight of the Corrective Action Program and the Human Performance Program at Hope Creek Station. They will report to the station Performance Oversight Manager and through a dotted line relationship, to the Corporate HU and CAP Programs Manager. They will be accountable for ensuring that the station's implementation of the HU and CAP programs meets all regulatory and INPO requirements and for ensuring that the programs meet industry standards and incorporate appropriate best practices. Together with the HU/CAP Programs Specialist assigned to the other station and the HU/CAP Program Manager, this individual will maintain procedural documentation, metrics and reports needed to implement and measure the health of programs across the site. This position will work with department Performance Improvement Specialists to ensure that performance gaps are being identified and resolved in a timely manner, that evaluation products and corrective actions are completed with quality and that corrective actions are effective. They will also be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of HU training and oversight mechanisms. You will participate in the site's HU/CAP peer team/working group.
Although this position has no direct reports, the individual filling it will be responsible for managing results through all other parts of the organization. This position requires very strong communication and organization skills and the ability to hold others accountable for team success. The ability to manage multiple, active and sometimes unrelated, streams of work, see issues from a strategic perspective and drive results on a tactical level is essential. At times, the person fulfilling this role will have other duties as assigned by the station's Performance Oversight Manager.
Additionally, this position will support station outages and participate in the Emergency Response Organization.
Bachelor’s Degree OR ten (10) years in nuclear industry with a minimum of three years of dedicated responsibility in learning programs. Demonstrated ability to analyze information and develop actions and plans to ensure performance improvement. Requires strong knowledge of the nuclear power plant processes and regulatory requirements . Must meet and maintain Nuclear’s unescorted site access.
SRO/RO license or certificate or system engineering certification. Root cause analysis qualification and/or lead auditor Certification, SAP proficiency, Nuclear Training experience/SAT experience. Experience in managing the O&M and Capital budgets in a competitive environment.
