Project Coordinator Intern

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, innovative, and detail-oriented self-starter with excellent organizational skills for our Project Coordinator Intern position. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to work part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer. Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the department and project teams, including filing, pick-up and shipping of parts, scheduling and coordinating meetings, generating meeting minutes, and action item lists.
  • Manage simultaneous, small projects as assigned.
  • Establish and maintain project files, both paper and electronic.
  • Communicate accurate information in a clear and concise format.
  • Prepare and code purchase requisitions for project and department supplies – obtain approvals and ensure receipt of purchase.
  • Assist in preparation of presentations.
  • Continuously identify, measure, and improve processes.

Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in a scientific or business-related degree program
  • Proven expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn and communicate technical information
  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Background check results satisfactory to SEL
  • Negative drug test result(s)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer
  • Knowledge of project management skills, techniques, and terminology
  • Knowledge of data analysis and summary techniques
