Leidos is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to work in Arlington, VA.
Senior/Lead design engineer for developing and designing electronic, electro-mechanical and mechanical equipment. Duties include developing preliminary designs, drawing, specifications, RFQs, prototypes, and test equipment for RF receivers and transmitters across the high frequency (HF) to microwave RF bands. Responsible for implementing signal processing algorithms in firmware and software on COTS and purpose-built systems. Will mentor and oversee junior staff during assembly, bench testing, checkout, and deployment/use of RF devices. Deploy with field teams to configure and operate prototype equipment. Provide technical documentation and briefing materials to technical program leadership to define objectives, approaches, and solutions to challenging RF and EW problems. Develop novel technical approaches to challenging new problems and develop appropriate technical solutions leading to new business capture and pursuit. Support efforts of signal processing engineers focusing on data analysis, algorithm development and evaluation in RF (radar, communications) domains. Background in novel and advanced algorithm development, Unix, software and hardware implementations, performance simulation, and analysis using simulated and real data.
Ability to work on multiple projects and field testing is required.
Education: Master's Degree in a related field (Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering). Advanced degree is preferred.
Required Skills: 12+ years' experience in RF design, digital/analog systems development, signal processing, hardware test and debug, and HW/SW integration. Active Secret clearance is a must Top Secret preferred.
