Position Specific Description

Job Purpose: This position will be responsible for joint interest billing (JIB) review and analysis for multiple operators.The majority of time will be spent identifying deltas in AFE versus actual JIB, analyzing AFE estimates to JIB actuals and identifying areas where costs are increasing to enable the Operations Directors to possibility to renegotiate pricing and any other such miscellaneous duties that may be assigned. The incumbent will also need to be able to communicate with Operators and Directors regarding costs. 

 

Primary (Essential) Job Functions: (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary by the company.) Work with the Operation Directors in evaluating well costs, ensuring costs are allocated correctly according to the joint operating agreements and also follow Council of Petroleum Accounting Societies (COPAS) guidelines. Perform monthly expense and capital variance analysis. Review and input Authorizations for Expenditures (AFEs) into the system Coordinate the AFE approval process by working with groups in other teams/departments to ensure proper approvals are received.  Ability to meet attendance and storm duty requirements. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
