As an Administrative Clerk, you will report to the Vice President, External Affairs. Under minimal supervision, the Administrative Clerk will provide clerical and administrative support to the External Affairs Department; which consists of 31 employees. This is a bargaining unit position and the employee must be familiar with various software programs such as: spreadsheets, word processing, presentations, records and files, and to generate documents and reports. Solid grammar and spelling skills, as well as attention to detail, are required for preparing accurate work. Back up support for the reception desk is required. A strong sense of initiative with the ability to multitask and anticipate executive needs is highly desired.
The Administrative Clerk will also assist in the coordination of special projects, such as internal employee events, as well as assist in the preparation of presentations for Corporate Communications, Government Relations, and Regulatory Affairs. The Administrative Clerk must have good interpersonal skills to interface with all levels of management, internal/external customers and to assist coworkers. The ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality is essential due to the sensitive nature of the data.
