Position Specific Description
The Agile Process Associate is a key contributor to the transparency, inspection, and adaption of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Kanban and Scrum methodologies. Someone with a strong foundation in problem solving, interpersonal communication, team building, and conflict resolution, is essential in this role. With a mentor, you would be supporting multiple agile teams across the organization and a patient and empathetic person will be successful in resolving a variety of challenges. You won’t be expected to know every answer but the right coachable positive attitude is a must.
This role will aid in facilitating the alignment of business value to team capabilities to create inspirational visions and achievable roadmaps with agility in mind. As teams progress and are realizing the vision, this role will ensure team members stay compliant with standards in a manner of educating not disciplining governance. While not necessarily responsible for training, you would need to recognize accidental vs intentional deviation from standards and guide teams to the help they need. The goal is to mature our innovative teams as well as evolve the enterprise standards.
This position is based in Miami with occasional (0 – 4 times a month) trips to other offices within Florida to collaborate with additional Agile Process Leads, coaches, and teams and assist with the agile transformation enterprise wide. This job provides leadership and direction to an Agile team, serves as an expert in the Scrum process, and enforces Scrum rules and framework. Employees in this role organize and facilitate release and sprint planning sessions, daily stand-up meetings, sprint demos, retrospectives, story refining sessions, and related activities. Leaders in this job embrace and display servant leadership behaviors that come with the key mindset shifts associated with being Agile and facilitate the team becoming self-managing and high-performing.
