Position Specific Description

  • Junior Java Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
  • Superior Java Programming skills
  • Passionate about technologies: Java/JavaScript
  • supported developers for any test framework related issues
  • willing to learn JBehave, Cucumber, Maven, Bamboo as new skills
  • Continuous Integration Automated test solutions
  • Knowledge of Python a plus
  • Knowledge of a Scripting tool (PowerShell, VBA) a plus
  • Extract and format test data from Oracle database using ANSI SQL.
  • write unit and integration tests, use any mocking Framework.
  • Write Sql / HQL queries for Mysql to develop data driven testing.
  • Extend existing automation suite using Selenium WebDriver PageObject, Junit and TestNG. Refactor code and update framework architecture to adopt best coding practices.
  • Develop re-usable, maintainable, libraries in Java. Wire up Hibernate in the automation framework to make test data object-orientated and conducted demo/training sessions for the team.
  • Continuous Integration Automated test solutions, Selenium Grid, for Web Application automations written in Java / built with Maven.

Job Duties & Responsibilities


•   Designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents programs, and develops a full knowledge of systems analysis and programming
•   Develops customized programming solutions, and maintains existing system functionality
•   Devises or modifies procedures to solve straight-forward problems, and prepares specifications from which programs will be written
•   Applies appropriate development methodologies, system development lifecycles, tools and technology
•   Collaborates on an on-going basis with the Business Systems Analyst
•   Participates in the ticket management and resolution processes, including receiving, resolution monitoring and customer satisfaction
•   Builds strong working understanding of the solution being delivered
•   Ensures user satisfaction by providing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of problems
•   Follows and participates in the defined Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Sarbanes Oxley (Sox) compliance, and General Computing Controls
•   Defines metrics and monitors Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for systems being developed
•   Meets daily, weekly and monthly reporting requirements   
•   Performs other job-related duties as assigned
