Associate Settlements Analyst


The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) applies cutting-edge technology to operating a reliable electricity system, managing competitive markets for wholesale electricity, and planning for the Empire State's energy future. The NYISO’s Finance department invites applications for a full-time Associate Settlements Operations Analyst.


The Associate Settlements Operations Analyst will be responsible for screening billing determinant data for completeness and accuracy using a number of prescribed procedures involving structured analyses of dispatch interval and hourly meter data and performance tracking reporting upon observed variances and anomalies.    Additionally, perform and maintain settlements-related accounting transactions; create and maintain standard settlements-related reports and administer a weekly and monthly invoicing process to support Market Settlements functions.  Identify issues; perform data entry, manual calculations and preliminary market accounting work under the guidance of Analysts and Senior Analysts.




  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics or Finance preferred.
  • 0-2 years related analyst experience within the utilities industry or market trading desired; experience with spreadsheets as well as financial and/or accounting systems.
