CPV is privately held, majority owned by Global Infrastructure Partners, and has approximately 85 employees.

 

CPV is looking for an innovative, results oriented Business Development Associate to join our Renewable Energy Development Team in their Braintree, MA location. 

 

This individual will be responsible for:

 

  • Managing the development of utility-scale wind and solar renewable power generation assets in the U.S., leading project development teams and maintaining strong relationships with market participants in support of business development strategies and objectives
  • You will identify and evaluate opportunities to develop renewable power generation assets, acquire real estate rights supporting identified opportunities, lead and/or coordinate cross-functional teams and assist in the preparation of documents, presentations and other materials for Sr. Management and the Board of Directors.
  • You will be expected to build and maintain strong relationships with load-serving entities, project stakeholders, project developers and other market participants, and support the development of annual business plans and development budgets.Position requires travel up to 50% of the time.

 

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Engineering or related discipline, along with 3+ years of experience in business development, project management and/or land acquisition in the energy industry. 

 

1. Knowledge of energy markets in the U.S. (including market structures, design, transmission infrastructure and strategic/financial competitors is a must along with technical proficiency with renewable power generation technologies.

 

2. Experience with structuring transactions for the development of utility-scale power generations assets is strongly preferred.

 

3. The ideal candidate will be proficient with Microsoft Office, have a keen eye for details, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

4. Must be able to lead and facilitate effective meetings, and possess above-average knowledge of legal language and contracts.A friendly and professional demeanor, who is dependable, adaptable, flexible and a team player who aligns with our core values.
