POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is within Austin Energy’s Corporate Quality Services (CQS) organization. CQS is an internal consulting team that collaborates with Austin Energy’s business units, functional organizations, and vendors to continuously improve the value and delivery of products, services, and information. The successful candidate will be required to partner with these stakeholder groups to ensure the development, operation, and maintenance of effective quality management systems, conforming to industry standards.

In performing this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the analytics of current-state and future-state business environments, facilitating cross-functional business planning efforts, supporting leads in systematic problem solving approaches, identifying cross-functional continuous (optimization) and breakthrough (innovation) improvement opportunities, supporting cross-functional implementation of process improvement techniques, assisting the management of cross-functional change projects, auditing/monitoring operational work processes, and escalating issues, observations, and help needed to relevant leadership.

ASSESSMENTS:
Candidates selected for interview(s) may be required to complete an assessment(s) approved by Municipal Civil Service process, Rule 4.

GOOD STANDING COA EMPLOYEES:
Employees, in Good Standing, who are candidates within the department/division that the position resides in and who meet the minimum and preferred qualifications (if any) of the position will be included in the initial interview. WORK HOURS:
Work schedule may change according to departmental needs.
Work hours may include after hours, holidays, and weekends.
Additional hours may be required to work outside of regular schedule.
