Collections Supervisor

Position Specific Description

Gexa Energy operates in the Retail Power and Gas, Commercial & Industrial and residential space within ERCOT, PJM, NEPOOL, NYISO & MISO markets.  In this role you will be responsible for the management of customer accounts receivable and will oversee and manage the team in their efforts to collect.  In addition, the Supervisor of Collections develops and delivers objective, reliable and timely analysis of past due accounts and ensures team and individual metrics are met. 

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Review accounts receivable aging and provide analysis on outstanding receivables, identifying trends and other drivers to bad debt
  • Identify process improvements to streamline the collection efforts, improve collection efficiency, improve disconnection timeliness, and identify drivers for customer bad debt
  • Stay abreast of industry collection standards and provide information to management to optimize collectability of past due accounts
  • Produce and present monthly statistical reporting to management
  • Work with sales and internal departments to resolve accounts receivable issues and facilitate collection of outstanding debt
  • Participate in meetings as Collections Subject Matter Expert, lending support, identifying risks and providing knowledge of department activities
  • Assist with design, build, testing and implementation of system software changes
  • Create and maintain policy and procedure documentation
  • Act as a point of escalation for collection calls as needed
  • Leads, coaches and delivers training support to develop her / his team members
