Job Description:

The Opportunity

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, innovative, and detailed individual for our Construction Management Intern position. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to work part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer. If you are looking for an opportunity to use your organizational skills and creative talents, then this position is for you!

Construction Management Intern

Responsibilities:

  • Support Property Management Manager and Project Coordinators.
  • Track Projects in MS Project weekly.
  • Collect, analyze, and report project feedback.
  • Provide general office clerical support.
  • Interact with vendors.
  • Assist with planning and organizing vendor visits to Pullman.
  • Support field office set up processes.
  • Update all drawing files, improving archives and material library.
  • Continuously identify, measure, follow, and improve area processes.
  • Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
  • Understand. Create. Simplify.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing Bachelor or Associate degree in Business, Design, or Architecture
  • Strong Computer skills, especially 2D/3D CAD, MS Office Suite, and MS Project
  • Excellent proofreading skills
  • Ability to learn concepts and technical details of products
  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Background check results satisfactory to SEL
  • Negative drug test result(s)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project business-professional attitude and appearance
