To provide support to engineering personnel by performing routine engineering work requiring creative input.
Must be enrolled and seeking a degree.
High school diploma, including a minimum of 30 credit hours of undergraduate course work (acceptance into the college of Engineering preferred) in preparation for a B.S Degree in Electrical Engineering..
None (entry level position)
Knowledge of basic engineering principles attained through education. Must possess the knowledge to understand drawings, diagrams and instructions manuals. A working knowledge of engineering computer languages, such as Fortran, Python, SAS, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. is desirable.
Skills and Abilities
Must have the ability to communicate effectively. Must be able to operate personal computers, computer terminals and programmable calculators. Ability to understand computerized solutions to engineering problems helpful. Must be able to concentrate and understand complicated issues and/or instructions. Must be able to get along with, work with, and effectively communicate with others. Must not be a threat to him/herself or to others. Must poses a valid Florida driver’s license.
Most of work will be under normal office conditions. Occasional field work may be required. Some work outside regular working hours may also be required.
