Education and/or Equivalent Experience:

  • Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Engineering, Business, or a field related to the job, plus seven (7) years of related electric utility experience, including at least two (2) years of experience in a managerial capacity.

Graduation with a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university may substitute for up to two (2) years of non-supervisory/management experience.

Position will provide direction, management and oversight of Austin Energy’s district energy and cooling business (On-Site Energy Resources) delivering chilled water, steam and electrical services across multiple systems in the Austin area. It is responsible for providing business unit services at competitive prices, new business origination and customer account management. Develops and implements business plans and processes for the safe, efficient and reliable operation, construction and expansion of the facilities.
