What You’ll Do At LIPA
The Director of Power Supply Planning Oversight will review and assess the service provider’s long-range power supply and resource planning process, including the Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) and plans for resource procurement in accordance with the policies of the Board of Trustees and governmental authorities. This position will also oversee long-range power procurement and review service provider’s issuance of requests for proposals (RFP’s), monitor the evaluation and selection of proposals and make recommendations to LIPA senior management on the acceptability of proposals and contracts.
The Director of Power Supply Planning Oversight will review and provide policy guidance to the service provider on its negotiation and administration of Power Purchase Agreements and other contractual arrangements to ensure the Service Provider is abiding by the standards established in the Operations Service Agreement (OSA).
This position will supervise the Manager of Performance Assessment and Contract Administration and the Manager of Distributed Resource Oversight, which includes setting objectives, goals and job functions, providing on-going performance feedback, and identifying and monitoring employee development.
