Vision: INL will change the world's energy future and secure our critical infrastructure.Responsibilities Idaho National Laboratory is actively seeking a mid-level to senior-level drafter. In this role, you will be a member of an integrated engineering project team, applying Architectural, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical drafting/design skills and techniques to facilitate the development of engineered design drawings, and supporting documentation for structures, systems, and components. This position will include 2D line work and 3D modeling. Duties will include, but are not limited to: - Preparing complex new drawings and perform drawing changes consistent with company and nationally recognized procedures and standards. - Providing field/as-building documentation support. - Assisting in the determination of drawing elements i.e. dimensions, tolerances, part/component selection and design and process parameters. Provide input to Design Engineers. - Working with design engineers for development of new engineering and drafting concepts. - Performing work within the established company procedures. - Understanding company standards for safety, quality, and efficiency and identify conditions which may impede implementation of these standards, and initiating actions to correct these conditions, including stopping the work if necessary.

Vocational Drafting Certificate plus 4-6 years of related experience; or Associates degree in Drafting Technologies plus 2-4 years related experience.
Knowledge of and experience in the use of nationally recognized standards (e.g. ANSI, ASME, MIL-STD, IEEE, etc.)
Must have a working knowledge of current versions of AutoCAD graphics software.
Must have overall understanding of various types of drawings (e.g. mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, piping, structural, civil, etc.) with a specialization in electrical.

3D modeling experience with Autocad 3D solids is preferred.
