DESCRIPTION:

The Eugene Water & Electric Board is currently seeking a qualified Electrical or Mechanical Engineer to fill a position in our Customer Field Solutions Department.  As an Energy Management Engineer, you will be working with customers to identify and assist in completing energy efficiency projects and plan and deliver various other customer-facing programs. 
The primary area of focus will be commercial and institutional customers with the opportunity to work in all sectors of the Utility.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the following assignments:
  • Auditing various facilities and providing estimates of energy (and water) savings and electrification potential.
  • Communicating with customers to develop energy-saving projects that make economic sense.
  • Modeling, data analysis, and analytical tasks.
  • Energy education which includes analyzing and explaining billing and interval data to customers.
Hiring Ranges: Engineer EE/ME - Staff:    $81,259.66 - $101,574.48 Engineer EE/ME - Senior: $94,059.02 - $117,573.78

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:     

Requirements As A Qualification & Progression  

Staff Engineer EE/ME:

Minimum Experience: Staff Engineer requires a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience.

Education: Requires a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.  

Senior Engineer EE/ME:

Minimum Experience: Senior Engineer requires a minimum of nine (9) years of relevant experience.

Education: Requires a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.  

Requirements of both positions:

Required education, experience, training and certifications:  Professional Engineer (PE) required.
Desirable education, experience, training and certifications: Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP).

Equivalency: An equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be qualifying.
