The Energy Market Supervisor oversees Day Ahead and Real-time Operations for Austin Energy’s (AE) Qualified Scheduling Entity in the ERCOT market which is comprised of eight 7×24 Real-time staff and two Day Ahead staff responsible for bidding, offering and scheduling for AE’s thermal and renewable resources and demand requirements and one Gas Desk staff for procuring gas.

• This position requires the use of an ERCOT Digital Certificate (EDC) and, therefore, will require a Security Review to determine if the candidate meets all the requirements for issuance of the EDC.

Employees, in Good Standing, who are candidates within the department/division that the position resides in and who meet the minimum and preferred qualifications (if any) of the position will be included in the initial interview. Department/division employee must remain in Good Standing through the Top Candidate Selection phase at which time the Good Standing status will be re-verified.

Military/Veterans must provide a copy of their DD214 verifying honorable discharge, at the time of initial interview to receive military/veteran interview preference.

The top candidate will be subject to a minimum 10 year criminal history background check.

Pay Range

$44.71 – $59.16


Monday through Friday.
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

May occasionally work evenings, weekends or holiday to support the 24-hour Utility operations.
