Over the past 18 years, EnergyWatch has provided strategic energy procurement advising to some of the largest commercial and corporate real estate portfolios in the country.  By integrating our analytics platform with our energy procurement service, we continue to provide clients with transparent, data-driven procurement strategies and performance reporting.  We are looking for an Energy Procurement Manager to lead our team as we grow the company, serving as the primary point of contact for clients and energy suppliers.


What you’ll do:


  • Engage regularly with clients and their properties to evaluate their goals, educate them on energy markets (primarily electricity and natural gas), procurement options, and develop customized recommendations
  • Coordinate competitive bids, negotiate contract terms and pricing, execute contracts, and manage renewals
  • Manage relationships with energy suppliers, evaluate and onboard new suppliers as needed across the markets
  • Maintain expertise for market requirements across NYISO, PJM, ISONE, and ERCOT, as well as specific requirements across various IOUs
  • Research and analyze energy markets (regulated and de-regulated) and prepare market reports and updates for clients
  • Assist Marketing team in developing procurement specific marketing materials (articles, updates, white papers, etc.)
  • Manage procurement performance reporting, ad hoc reporting as requested by clients
  • Analyze energy market data to develop recommendations for budgeting calculations and rate forecasting
  • Assist Executive team as needed


Who you are:


  • Energy market expert – you understand the intricacies of LMPs, capacity market structures, energy contract terms and conditions, pricing models, market fundamentals and forecasting
  • Excels under pressure – quick turnarounds on multi-million dollar purchasing contracts with many players involved and numerous moving pieces
  • Detail oriented
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel – pivot tables, index/match, if statements, etc.
  • Eager to learn – energy markets are constantly evolving and require constant education, you must love to learn and share this knowledge with clients and the Company
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • 5+ years of experience either buying or selling retail energy
  • Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in economics, statistics, finance, or a related, quantitative field
  • Fluent in English
  • Eligible to work in the US full-time
