About this Position

Perform civil and structural support engineering studies, design, and project management activities for the maintenance and renovation of existing or construction of new distribution lines, bulk & distribution substations, underground electrical structures and other facilities. 



Key Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for development of engineering solutions, cost and schedule estimates, and preliminary designs associated with initial development and budgeting of projects. 
  • Upon project authorization, perform detailed design and work with Drafting to complete drawings, prepare specifications for equipment and construction contracts, finalize cost and schedule estimates, and assist or lead in the planning and coordination of projects as required. 
  • Presentation of projects at public informational workshops and to government and regulatory bodies. 
  • Facilitate acquiring permits to perform construction activities.
  • Interact with other Energy Delivery groups, vendors, contractors, architect/engineering firms, and internal customers.


Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university. Professional Engineer (PE) License or active commitment to obtain is required.



Three to five years of experience in the design of concrete, wood, masonry, and steel structures is preferred. Soil investigation and foundation design is also preferred. Familiarity with ACI, AISC, ASCF and IBC is preferred.
