Executive Secretary

About The Position

The Executive Secretary is responsible for performing confidential secretarial and administrative duties involving the exercise of independent judgment for the President of Ameren Missouri.

 Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and organize the executive's activities within the company, the community and professional organizations.
  • Perform other day-to-day activities including, but not limited to, travel arrangements, schedule coordination, preparation of presentations, arrange conference calls, corporate credit card reconciliation, expense accounts and personnel paperwork, filing and paying departmental bills.
  • Coordinate activities related to salary personnel changes and performance appraisal interviews.
  • Handle internal and external correspondence, distribute mail, make meeting and travel arrangements, and perform other administrative duties as assigned.
  • Perform duties of TRIS administrator for applicable department.
  • Other duties as assigned by the President of Ameren Missouri.


High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university preferred.  Five or more years of high level administrative experience required.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Proficiency in keyboarding and software applications, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel required; Ability to interact effectively with senior management required; Ability to work independently in a confidential manner and take a leadership role in various projects and activities also required.

Working Conditions

The Executive Secretary works a standard day shift in an office environment.
