Vision: INL will change the world's energy future and secure our critical infrastructure.Responsibilities The Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC) is seeking candidates for Heavy Equipment Operator. Responsibilities include:Operate mobile equipment such as: forklifts, loaders, dump trucks, tanker trucks, semi-trucks, tractor-trailer combinations and flat beds, road grader, backhoe, front-end loaders, skid-steers, mobile cranes, and track-hoes.
Operate overhead cranes.
Perform periodic inspections of rigging tackle.
Perform load testing of rigging equipment.
Perform load testing of mobile cranes.
Operate equipment without restrictions.
Plan and perform work using the principles of Conduct of Operations and Conduct of Maintenance. Ensure all principles of Integrated Safety Management (ISM) are utilized in all tasks Requirements:
High School Diploma (or equivalent)
Must have 5 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator
Must possess and maintain a Class "A" Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with an T, H, N endorsement.
Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a DOE "L" security clearance.
Must be able to qualify as a RAD Worker.
Must be able to operate various types of mobile equipment without restrictions.
Must be able to perform periodic inspections of rigging tackle.
Must be qualified as a rigger as required in DOE STD 1090 for operating Hoisting and Rigging Equipment.
Must be able to load test mobile equipment. Work Conditions: Facility: High noises (>85dB), heights,confined spaces, stairs; Environmental Conditions: heat stress, cold stress, UV(sun) exposure, hazardous chemical/waste, radiation work; Equipment: ladders>6 feet, machine/electrical hazards, power tools, vibrating equipment, protectiveclothing, respirator use, heavy equipment, motor vehicle use, typing/keyboard;Personnel Requirements: >8 Hrs/day, overtime/irregularhours, working alone.
