Ameren Services provides administrative support and services to Ameren Corporation and its operating companies, subsidiaries and affiliates. Nearly 1,400 employees serve the company with business planning, communications, diversity, financial support, human resources, information technology, legal counsel, safety and supply services.

The Talent Management Intern will promote and enable ongoing individual, group and corporate performance improvements aligned with organizational values and strategy. Critical to success will be taking initiative, navigating ambiguity, a strong drive for results and effective partnering (Talent Management, Ameren leadership, and HR Services partners).

Key projects include:

  • Assist the development, implementation, and facilitation of programs and partnerships to enhance the creation of strong diverse pipelines for STEM and Craft candidates. (Inclusive of Secondary Education, Collegiate program (such as Internships/Co-ops), Military, and Community Base Organizations)
  • Identify and help develop resources for leader's and co-workers in driving engagement and leadership effectiveness.
  • Other possible projects include work on change management resources, our listening strategy, and performance management.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Draw on knowledge, skill and education in consulting, organization development, leadership development and measurement & evaluation to design, implement to evaluate impact of OD efforts.          
  • Promote the improvement of communication efforts through feedback activities, including surveys and interviews.  May include design, development, analysis and feedback of data.
  • Provide support for key initiatives, such as team building, succession planning, career development, process improvement, engagement, assessment feedback, competency modeling, corporate metrics and change management. Assist with developing approaches, tools and processes to apply in these areas and educate others around their use
  • Stay current on research and practices in organization and leadership development. Help deepen expertise within the team by sharing insights and best practices to clients and HR partners

 POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education: Must be in student status currently in a graduate school program within an Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organization Development or closely related discipline required. First year of Masters level program coursework completed required. 

Experience: Previous experience in Organizational Effectiveness area a plus.

Other: Must have strong written and oral communication and facilitation skills, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. Must be able to work independently and in collaboration to achieve goals. Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.  Experience with web based survey tools preferred.
