Position Specific Description

In this role you will lead the team responsible for the design, deployment, and operation of our infrastructure platform services including compute, storage, backup, and virtualized application delivery.  In the compute space you will be responsible for hyper converged infrastructure, hypervisor-based virtualization, traditional rack mount and blade server-based hardware.  You will be responsible for traditional storage arrays, storage area network, disk and tape-based backup solutions.  Virtualized application delivery includes virtual desktop and application presentation to thin clients for business-critical needs.

We have a service oriented, customer focused perspective.  In this role you will be the service owner accountable for successful delivery of these infrastructure services and successful outcomes for the business.  This includes ensuring that all services are reliable, resilient, meet capacity demands, and perform at adequate levels.  This includes planning from a technical and financial perspective to manage labor, services, and equipment.



  • Plan and manage budget required for successful delivery of your services
  • Plan, build, and migration associated to capacity expansion, hardware refresh, and other demands
  • Operational monitoring, capacity mgmt, configuration mgmt, patching
  • Disaster recovery health and testing
  • Change management control
  • Incident and problem mgmt
  • Plan new infrastructure deployments and operations plans
  • Lead development of technical plans for major projects such as business integrations


Essential experience:

  • Employee supervisor or manager of teams sized 5-15 people
  • Hands-on technical operations experience
  • Technical experience and expertise in enterprise scale server and storage infrastructure
  • Knowledge of virtual desktop and virtual application delivery
  • Comprehension and experience measuring and troubleshooting infrastructure performance


The position reports directly to the Director of Cloud and Technical Services with work location in Miami-Dade or Juno Beach, FL.

This position establishes strategy, develops business plans, and oversees and manages the design, development and implementation of technology solutions to meet business needs. Leaders in this role provide leadership and oversight to manage performance and results in one or more Information Technology (IT) disciplines. Individuals will be accountable for the reliability, performance, security, and continuity of IT systems and supported business processes.

  • Provides leadership, influence, vision, and direction to the organization to contribute to achieving the company's goals
  •  Works with IT leaders to develop overall IT strategy in alignment with business strategy
  • Oversees value stream by focusing on cost and risks of technology portfolio to meet business needs
  • Supports and fosters innovative technologies to deliver new ideas that enable business transformation
  • Ensures high levels of ongoing system and application performance in production environments
  • Oversees development of processes and tools to automate code releases from development to operations (DevOps)
  • Attracts, develops and retains a high-performing and diverse team
  • Establishes and drives technology roadmaps that align with current and future business needs
  • Manages third party technical and outsourcing relationships to deliver project and operational support objectives
  • Ensures technology processes are conducted in line with applicable standards and company policies
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 8+ years
  • Supervisor/Management Experience: 2+ years
