Lead Generation Specialist

The Role:

Energy Central is seeking a Lead Generation Specialist to support revenue growth of our division. Our customers are companies in the global power industry, both utilities and vendors. Our prospects are hiring managers and HR personnel in these companies.

In this role you will be responsible for telephone outreach to our identified list of HR contacts to introduce Energy Central and identify potential hiring needs. Once identified, you will pass these leads onto a Recruitment Specialist for follow-up. Success in this role depends on phone activity and a personable phone presence.

To start, this is an independent contractor position, paid hourly. You will set your hours at the beginning of each week with your manager. You have the flexibility to set your hours (within normal business hours of our prospects) and your workload.

There is an expectation that you will have an average of 10 outbound calls per hour. The pay range for the role is $12 - $18 per hour (1099 basis), depending upon experience and success in outreach & lead generation.

  • You must have a quiet work environment
  • Updated computer (excel, modern web browser required) on either PC or Mac
  • Headset with microphone for calling through our phone system
  • A reliable internet connection
  • Schedule and availability requirements include: Monday – Friday; 7am – 7pm. Client calls must be during their business hours (8am-5pm), based on client’s time zones
  • This is a part-time (4 hours / day) contracted position with the potential to become full-time
  • Work days and hours are flexible (within normal business hours of our prospects).

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Cold calling to HR/Recruitment professionals and their gatekeepers.
  • Sending follow-up emails (using company templates).
  • Scheduling follow-up calls.
  • Use company CRM to accurately document activity & prospect information.
  • Use company CRM to assign leads to Recruitment Specialist.
  • Build positive relationships with prospects.
  • Meet call goals.
  • Understand and communicate the core elements our Job Platform to generate client interest and leads.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication experience with active listening skills
  • Self-Reliant, self-motivated and reliable
  • At least one year of successful lead generation, sales support, customer service and/or call center experience preferred
  • Outbound telephone prospecting in a high volume environment
  • Basic computer knowledge and the ability to learn computer programs is essential
  • Experience with Google Sheets, RingCentral, InfusionSoft and Outlook is a bonus
