What You’ll Do At LIPA
The Manager of Distributed Resource Oversight helps fulfill the Authority’s mission to provide clean, reliable and affordable energy by assuring that the service provider has appropriate plans and processes in place to develop and integrate distributed energy resources (“DER”) into the electric system in support of the State’s clean energy goals. The Manager of Distributed Resource Oversight verifies the service provider’s compliance with tariff and contractual obligations with respect to DER, assesses the service providers responsiveness to DER developer inquiries and complaints and represents the Authority in inter-governmental and inter-utility working groups concerning integration and interconnection of DER.
This position will also assist the Director and Manager of Transmission and Distribution System Oversight in their oversight of interconnection matters and also assist the Director of Power Supply Planning Oversight in monitoring the development of clean energy resources within the grid and behind the meter.
