This position provides professional support to others at INL that are engaged in business intelligence, marketing technologies/capabilities, accomplishing INL's technology transfer mission and accomplishing INL's industry engagement goals. Responsibilities include: 1) conducting assessments of new technologies and capabilities (identifying customers, assessing the opportunity, evaluating the solution, defining the team, defining the advantage over existing solutions, and the results/benefits achieved); 2) preparing marketing collateral and assisting in marketing of new technologies; 3) performing research to assist with developing relationships with industry, 4) performing assessment and review of technology business landscapes for PIs including prior art and business intelligence for new business partner identification using commercially available, and other software tools, such as PatSnap, Innography, USPTO, Frost & Sullivan, etc.; 5) collaborating with TD's Commercialization Managers to establish strategic relationships with external customers, INL management, DOE Office of Technology Transitions Programs, 6) assisting with innovation and commercialization initiatives, and technical staff in support of INL’s broad technology deployment mission;6) provide support to the Information Technology (IT) database manager assigned to support TD’s IP software management tools. Responsibilities are expected to be performed under the oversight of a designated Commercialization Manager or the Director of Technology Deployment. This position is not expected to directly managed customer relationships or interface directly with INL customers. The position, however, is expected to work as a team member that supports others who manage customer relationships.

Must be well organized, timely and responsive, and be able to work with minimal guidance or supervision. This person is expected to professionally deal with challenges and use his/her own initiative. This position requires keeping current and proficient with pertinent company procedures, requirements, policies and standard software tools. The position reports to the Director of Technology Deployment.

Minimum Qualification Requirements (Education and/or Experience):
Baccalaureate degree. Preferred degree in technical/science/engineering, business, and/or law.

Minimal skills needed for this position include: 1) a demonstrated ability to perform market valuations and evaluate the market potential for new and emerging technologies, 2) a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team of intellectual property management professionals and 3) intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn.
Must be a US Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DOE L-clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
Strong preference towards degrees in technical/science/engineering, business, and/or law. Experience in performing market analysis, patent analysis, prior art review, management and/or commercialization of emerging technologies at a business, organization, or university including contract negotiation, technology transfer, and intellectual property management.

Special Requirements and/or Training:
Preferred: Licensing Executives Society - Certified Licensing Professional (CLP), the Alliance of Technology Transfer Professionals - Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP), and/or Business Intelligence Associate (BIA) status or a willingness/ability to obtain professional certification or equivalent training.
