The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) manages the efficient flow of electricity on more than 11,000 circuit-miles of high-voltage transmission lines, dispatching power from hundreds of generating units across the state. The NYISO’s Facility Studies department invites applications for a full-time Planning Engineer.
The Planning Engineer will coordinate, perform, and review technical studies related to the interconnection of proposed new generation, transmission and load facilities to the New York State transmission system (i.e. interconnection projects). This individual will have a focus on coordinating, performing, and reviewing technical studies related to the Class Year Facilities Study, in addition to assisting in other interconnection studies or planning studies as required.
The NYISO takes pride in recruiting, developing and retaining highly talented individuals. In addition to competitive salaries, we offer a comprehensive benefits package and innovative reward programs.
