Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Demonstrates mastery of the technical duties of production. Developing basic leadership skills. Monitors productivity, safety, and quality to ensure appropriate product flow for assigned area. Exercises discretion and independent judgment in making decisions and problem solving. Actively listens to the needs of others and develops positive relationships with internal and external customers. Drives SEL’s safety standards and ensures a safe work environment for employees. Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles. Understand. Create. Simplify. Other duties as assigned.
Progressively responsible experience in a production environment.
Champion safety initiatives and exceed quality standards
Ability to work overtime as required
Work with minimal supervision
Comprehensive understanding of product flow throughout Manufacturing
Advanced knowledge of department’s production business systems
Ability to effectively teach others new skills and concepts
Ability to prioritize and organize work for themselves and others
Demonstrated ability to model SEL Values to others
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)
Lift, push, pull and maneuver up to 40 pounds frequently
Sit and/or stand at least 8 hours
Vision correctable to 20/30 or better
Fine finger dexterity sufficient to handle and place parts with precision and accuracy for at least 8 hours
