You’ll be required to register in our HR portal if you haven’t already done so.

Assist the Purchasing Manager in the day to day operation supporting the ISO-NE Purchasing function.  Process Documentation, Process Requisitions, Enter Orders, and Communicate with Internal and External resources.  Maintain ISO-NE Purchasing Documentation File.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with Purchasing Policy and Procedures by educating internal customers. Recommend and implement changes to documentation as needed to improve compliance
  • Communicate with ISO-NE Vendors regarding status of PO’s, Contracts, Software Licenses and other issues. Resolve outstanding issues as needed to ensure compliance to policies
  • Process ISO-NE authorized PO Requisitions using the Lawson Financial Software Package:  PO Entry, Print, Send, and File. Close completed POs in a timely manner

  • Process PO Adjustments as needed, upon authorization from Cost Center Managers.  Complete data entry and related documentation in compliance with policies and procedures
  • Review and approve Office Supply and Wireless Phone/Data Device Purchases. Monitor inventory and ensure property is returned upon separation of employment

  • Maintain accurate records of RFP/RFQs, open contracts, software licenses, maintenance agreements, leases, insurance certificates and other procurement related documentation.  Prepare analysis of spending/cost savings trends, Sole Source and Minority Spend on a quarterly basis
  • Manage the Vendor Evaluation Program.  Identify trends and recommend process improvements as applicable
Requirements
  • Associates Degree in a Liberal Arts, or Business field or equivalent experience with a High School Diploma.  Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 3-5 Years Experience in Purchasing/Buying or related role in Distribution, Service/Institutional or Manufacturing environment
  • Experience using a State of the Art Purchasing Software System, Peoplesoft, SAP, Infor/Lawson Insight, etc.
  • Expertise in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent Analysis, Communications, Filing, and Follow Up Skills
  • CPM or APP certification thru NAPM a plus
