Quality System Coordinator

Local Unit & Position Description

DNV GL - Energy’s Sustainable Use - Program Development and Implementation (PDI) team is seeking a Quality System Coordinator to manage the implementation and compliance efforts for PDI. This position will support the Energy North America cross-organization compliance services team and provide overall continuous improvement support to program staff. This position reports to the Head of Department and provides leadership to other staff activities. A proven track record of experience is essential.


This position could be based out of our Chalfont, PA; Columbus, OH; Oak Brook, IL; Phoenix, AZ; Las Vegas, NV, Helena, MT or Detroit, MI office.


Tasks May Include

  • Responsible for the overall certification and maintenance of PDI activity as part of DNV GL Quality Management System (DMS) to assure compliance.
  • Responsible for external certifications and compliance for ISO-9001 / 27001 and SOC 2 Type 2 standards
  • Work closely with internal DNV GL programs to support quality delivery and develop recommendations to improve programs as needs are identified
  • Assure the development, maintenance, and implementation of methods and procedures in Quality
  • Design and deliver methods for auditing and reporting the effectiveness of PDI Quality program
  • Plan, organize, implement, and supervise the efforts to perform the above-listed activities using the DMS as the company policy
  • Provide subject matter expertise to and monitoring of programs in the area of compliance and readiness for internal and external audits
  • Act as PDI Quality subject matter expert and resource leader for Quality Management to deliver results
Position Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree required. In Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of quality system experience
  • 5 years of project management experience is a plus
  • Experience in energy efficiency, demand side management (DSM) program implementation desired
  • Experience in training, management reviews, and Quality metrics
  • SOC, ISO 27001/9001 quality auditing knowledge preferred
  • Green Belt or higher Lean Six Sigma Certification is a plus
  • Ability to influence across functional areas and make change
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills as demonstrated by experience with presentations, papers or other public forums, and strong report writing skills
