Regulatory Affairs Intern

The NYISO’s External Affairs Department invites applications for full-time internship opportunities.

The successful intern will support rollout phases of the 2019 Power Trends campaign, support Regulatory Affairs/Government Affairs development of the June 2019 Environmental Advisory Council meeting, and provide support to the Director of Regulatory Affairs. This individual will be trained on elements of the NYISO’s filing process, support technical documents administration, and support NYISO staff in outreach initiatives with regulatory and elected government officials.

  • Completion of Sophomore/Junior or Graduate level courses in Political Science, Humanities, Environmental Science or Policy, Economics, Pre-Law, or other related majors
  • Strong interpersonal and writing skills

The NYISO takes pride in recruiting, developing and retaining highly talented individuals. Our summer internship programs give young professionals the opportunity to gain a fundamental understanding of New York electricity markets, bulk electricity systems and how we plan for New York State’s energy future.
