Position Specific Description

In this role you would directly impact our goal of expanding our Distributed Energy business to Utilities, Munis, Coops and C&I customers. You will be the analyst dedicated to our Business Development team. This team is responsible for solution sales, product development and opening up new markets / verticals. Today, we primarily focus on solar + storage, but our mandate is to continuously evaluate new technologies and new business models. Your role would be to create the models to evaluate and commercialize new products and to work with our software developers to convert your models into algorithms. Models might include running storage models of stacked use cases, co-optimizing multiple generation assets and mining data to more effectively target sites and customers. You will present your findings to Development leadership, and potential clients, while providing your thoughts and input on a daily basis to make for a collaborative and dynamic team. You will also be responsible for translating your new product models into business requirements for the software team and contributing to our annual planning and strategy process.
In addition to the qualifications below, individuals with energy and data science experience such as energy storage, tariff analysis, and data mining will likely excel in this role. Any additional experience with top energy industry consulting firms, software development, Demand Response and/or demand charge management would be preferred. The position is based in San Francisco, and will require 25% travel. Bachelor's Degree highly preferred.
