Position Specific Description

This position sits within the Power Generation Division which is responsible for all of NextEra Energy's non-nuclear generation operations, exceeding 40,000 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity.

 

In addition to the job duties below, this individual will also be responsible for the following:

  • All site/Plant/Field activities
  • Supports contract claims, timesheet and labor force reporting
  • Develops and Maintains the site schedule
  • Verifies all site quality to ensure the correct standard is meet or exceeded
  • Complies with regulatory and permit requirements
  • Deals with all field disciplines e.g. electrical, mechanical, civil, I&C,
  • Manages waste streams created at the site
  • Provides the expert LOTO leadership
  • Controls and leads safety requirements and initiatives

     

    100% Travel:

    Required for both short and longer durations to jobsites of 1-12 months in duration within the USA

    This position is a project bound position slated for the next 1-2 years

Job Overview

Employees in this job are accountable for providing safe, reliable, and cost-effective implementation of assigned and approved capital projects. The position is responsible for establishing a single point of ownership and accountability for non-major maintenance capital projects within FPL or NextEra. Individuals in this role devise standardized PM processes and controls for reporting and contracting practices throughout that ensure compliance with corporate guidelines and terms and conditions that provide a reasonable rate of return, address governmental compliance, cure personnel and property risk issues, and impart high quality and schedule adherence.
