Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Understand opportunities and customer requirements for reclosers and recloser controls in the electric utility market.
Identify opportunities, and translate opportunities into product requirements.
Execute product and solution launches. This includes pricing, positioning, forecasting, competitive market research/analysis, and development of sales collateral and promotional content.
Closely work with the sales team and distribution utility customers to turn products in to solutions that provide value.
Plan, organize and conduct customer visits, seminars and training.; develop product demonstrations; travel and attend events to promote SEL solutions.
Author and present papers on advancements in distribution power systems with SEL distribution controls technology at industry technical meetings and conferences.
Train the sales force on the benefits of SEL solutions and visit customers with them.
Advance product management by continuously identifying, measuring, and improving well-defined processes.
Other duties as assigned.
B.S. in EE or CS
Working knowledge of electric power systems: Distribution Operations, Recloser Controls, and Operations software
Working knowledge of recloser technology and applications including radial, loop scheme and automated network configurations to improve distribution reliability indices
Working knowledge in distribution protection and automation
Technical marketing experience
Experience in developing business strategies
Excellent technical and marketing presentation and writing skills
Knowledge of product life cycle planning and market positioning
Willing to travel 25%
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)
Experience with SCADA systems
Experience with Field Area Networks for Distribution Power Systems
