PowerWright is a full-service engineering firm that provides technical services to the electric utilities industry, including Florida’s largest electric utility. Our services include power line (Transmission and Distribution) engineering, electric Substation and Protection & Controls (P&C) engineering, construction and construction management, drafting, permitting, system development, and others. The company’s engineering services provide solutions for every electron that flows from a generating facility to the customer’s meter can.
The incumbent will be responsible for the detailed engineering design of high voltage (transmission 69 - 500 kV) power line projects. These projects are to include entire new facilities, as well as major additions, rehabilitation, replacement, clearance, and reconductoring of existing electric power lines.
Periodically conducts field visits to collect data.
This position does not have direct reports.
This position requires occasional travel (5-10%) associated with field site visits for data collection and verification.
WORKING CONDITIONS: This job operates in a professional office environment requiring routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, electronic devices such as tablets, printers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets as well as use of standard office applications such as MS Office.
