The Special Manufacturing Capability Facility (SMC) at IdahoNational Laboratory is seeking candidates for Work Control Planner. In thisrole, you will write electrical and mechanical work instructions which are used by skilled craftsmen to maintain assigned equipment. The mainresponsibilities for this role are:
Ensure written instructions are in compliance withestablished INL controlling documents (i.e., LWP-6200, LWP-21220), work controlprocess, and with regulatory agency requirements related to quality, training,environmental, industrial hygiene, radiological, safety and health.
Act as a single point of contact for resolving work controlissues from initiation to work completion. Act as the primary interface withaffected organizations.
Act as SMC technical point of contact for calibrations. Thisincludes using knowledge and experience to provide continual interface withengineering to determine calibration needs and requirements for SMCinstrumentation.
Represent SMC on site-wide committees concerning electricalwork and calibrations as requested by management.
Provide support for engineering, facilities, and operationsto meet priorities and schedules
Order, track and verify materials required for maintenancework
Mentor other planners in areas of individual knowledge andexperience
Provide input based on knowledge and experience for thebenefit of SMC planning, engineering and production organizations.
Obtain and maintain applicable INL and SMC Planner qualifications Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) "L" Security Clearance
Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant experience or Master's and 3 years. 13 years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
Working knowledge of electrical systems and components
Proficiency with MS Office software
Working knowledge of instrumentation and calibrations
Experience with control systems and repair/maintenance of automated industrial equipment
Experience with industrial mechanical systems
Proficiency with the use of Asset Suite or current CMMS software
INL Electrical Planner Qualification
Proficiency with I-Buy and Asset Suite purchasing procedures and requirements
