Seeking an experienced legal practitioner with transactional and project management expertise with an emphasis on drafting and negotiating power purchase agreements related to renewable energy transactions and purchase and sale agreements related to acquisition and divestiture transactions. This position will provide legal support to NextEra’s Wind Development and M&A teams with respect to complex commercial transactions. Applicant will be a team player with a demonstrated commercial acumen who relates well with clients, management and counterparties.
Employees in this job participate in complex legal matters and projects and deliver timely and quality legal services to clients with minimal supervision.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Provides written and oral legal advice to clients
• Anticipates and guards against legal risks involving the organization
• Works to ensure budget compliance and avoids the need for outside counsel
• Ensures disclosure of potentially material legal issues to senior leadership
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
• Member in Good Standing of State Bar
• High School Grad / GED
• Juris Doctorate
• Bachelor's Degree
• Experience:5+ years
