Position Specific Description

NextEra Energy, a Fortune 200 company and the world's largest generator of renewable energy from the wind and sun is seeking an experienced professional to plan and direct activities for its Renewable Development- Land Services- Contracts Team.


Employees in this role research, analyze, and interpret title instruments to determine surface ownership and encumbrances for a nationwide portfolio of renewable energy generation projects.  They are also responsible for compiling and submitting ownership reports and conveyance document packages to office staff.  Must have strong working knowledge of a variety of title instruments including deeds, leases, estate and probate documents, division orders, and sale contracts. 


Successful candidates will have excellent time management skills and be extremely detail oriented.  Strong communication skills are also required. 


This position is field based- extensive nationwide travel is required.

Job Overview

Employees in this role are responsible for planning, controlling and directing real estate activities such as site location and acquisition, right-of-way negotiation, building and land acquisition and disposition, space leasing, property management, and maintenance of properties to support wind site development. This position will be located in field office with significant travel requirements.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

•   Researches private and public records to determine ownership, mineral leases, etc.
•   Analyzes and interprets legal documents
•   Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience:4+ years
  • Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
