Supervisor AMI Meter Deployment

 Supervisor, AMI Meter Deployment (XA5730)

 About The Position

The Supervisor, AMI Meter Deployment leads a team of Ameren meter professionals and is responsible for coordinating all Automated Meter Infrastructure (AMI) related electric meter activities to achieve AMI Project goals and milestones and ensure that safety and customer service are maintained at the highest level. This position is also responsible for continually monitoring processes and procedures to control cost and improve productivity.

 Key responsibilities include:

  • Support all AMI initiatives as required, to include stakeholder presentations, change management activities, AMI Process functionality testing, troubleshooting and acceptance.
  • Lead team of Ameren meter professionals, and Direct the work of contractors to assure all 1.4 million metering facilities are installed and maintained safely and accurately. 
  • Ensure that all work is effectively and efficiently scheduled and completed to provide excellent customer service.
  • Supervise and coordinate work to achieve the AMI project goals and milestones. 
  • Continually review processes and procedures to determine if improvements can be made to control cost and improve productivity. 
  • Coordinate AMI activities with Engineering, Customer Accounts, Customer Service, Training and Meter Services as required.
  • Coordinate AMI electric meter and Gas Module installation training for Ameren field personnel and AMI contractor personal and monitor contractor training programs for quality, content, and effectiveness
    • Participate regularly with contractor daily tailgate sessions to address safety, process, and equipment issues. Perform weekly AMI contractor installation safety and accuracy Quality Assurance (QA) audits.
    • Coordinate all activities required to address project related electric meter hardware, software, and process concerns.
    • Coordinate all project-related electric repairs.
  • Monitor the contractor customer claims process. Perform follow-up with customers as required, to include, but not limited to customer complaints and claims issues.

 Qualifications

 High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college preferred. Five or more years of experience in meter, customer service or electric distribution operations or related experience is required. Three or more years of supervisory or team/project leadership required. Experience in large scale project deployment preferred, specific AMI experience is a plus. Project Management experience desired. 

 In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

 Proficiency with MS Office (i.e., Excel, Word and Outlook).

  • Basic knowledge of work management systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership, administrative and human relations skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
