Supervisor, Gas Plant Operations

Associated Electric is currently seeking applicants for a Supervisor, Gas Plant Operations position within the Power Production division in Springfield, Missouri. This position provides assistance to the Manager, Gas Plant Operations in managing the combustion turbine fleet and their associated contracts, including managing outage planning, long range maintenance plans, O&M budgets, strategic planning and supervising personnel (CT engineers and specialists). This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing policies and directing activities of staff to ensure all plants run in a safe, environmentally responsible, reliable and economical manner.

The Supervisor, Gas Plant Operations plans and oversees simultaneous projects from conception through execution, reporting updates on department/staff objectives as requested. This position develops root cause analysis processes and recommends appropriate actions for remediation.  The Supervisor position acquires and manages third-party services and coordinates efforts with other AECI staff, equipment suppliers and contractors. Travel requirements are expected to be 25%-40%.

Qualified applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and five years’ experience or, in lieu of a degree, ten years’ experience with combustion turbines. Professional registration is preferred. Applicants will demonstrate experience with combustion turbine operations and major maintenance, related equipment, and instrumentation and controls systems. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills are also required.
