About The Position
The Supervisor, Project Controls supervises a team of employees and contractors to plan, schedule, organize, support, audit, report on and control costs for Transmission projects.
Key responsibilities include:
Direct supervisor responsible for leading a team of professional employees responsible for schedule creation and maintenance, project cost and contingency determination, cost analysis support and reporting for Transmission capital projects.
Coordinate the project costs with Transmission budget; develop project budgets, forecasts, financial analysis and reporting; assist in development of project justifications and statistical analysis; complete purchase order, receipt, contract, service agreement and other business requirements; lead and participate in financial process improvements and projects; and provide contingency management.
Coordinate project scheduling for capital projects including forecasted resource management and portfolio analysis.
Meet Transmission financial responsibilities through the use of corporate financial tools and processes, and work with Project Engineers, Project Managers, and contractors to develop financial information to control costs on a wide variety of transmission projects.
Provide assistance with financial planning of projects, financial analysis and project justifications.
Assess and assist Project managers in managing contingency/project risk.
Provide resource management analysis and reporting.
Monitor and enforce standards, policies and procedures established by Transmission, Ameren Corporation and regulatory entities.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or Construction Management from an ABET accredited University and 5 or more years of relevant experience in scheduling, forecasting, budgeting and working with accounting practice is required. Ten or more years of relevant construction, construction project execution, project scheduling or project cost controls may be considered in lieu of the above degree requirement. MBA preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.
In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
Experience with financial applications such as UIP, Primavera, PowerPlant and API preferred. Experience with EMPRV, TRIS, PeopleSoft, Success Enterprise (SE), Active Risk Manager (ARM) and other PC tools preferred. Knowledge of transmission system, and corresponding maintenance, operations and construction practices preferred.Additional Information
