The Supervisor, Client Application Development & Enablement manages the requirements, design, development and implementation of enterprise-wide software applications and end-user devices for the digital enablement of our workforce. This role has direct responsibility for coworker leadership, managed service vendor compliance, and budget/forecasting compliance. This role works directly with enterprise coworkers, at all levels of the organization, to ensure coworkers are digitally enabled at all times.
Key responsibilities include:
Supervises, leads and develops a team of experienced Digital professionals that support the enterprise-wide digital enablement of our workforce and targeted partners/consultants.
Direct, train and evaluate personnel and managed service vendors responsible for designing, architecting, developing and implementing enterprise-wide applications, end-user platforms and infrastructure including audio/video.
Develops and ensures adherence to architectural and operational standards for enterprise client applications, end-user devices and infrastructure including audio/video. Manage the consistent integrity of the various systems' data including secure disposition of unstructured data.
Prepares, manages and supports multiple concurrent integrated enterprise system software, hardware, and content implementation plans.
Supervises, coordinates and manages the disaster recovery planning and execution for enterprise client applications and infrastructure areas of responsibility.
Maintains a working knowledge of Ameren core business applications, processes and requirements to allow for the effective application of emerging technologies to resolve business problems and gain productivity. Work directly with enterprise coworkers, at all levels of the organization, to ensure coworkers are digitally enabled at all times.
Remains abreast of new developments and trends in the digital industry to maintain professional expertise to assist in technology planning and influence the technology standards used by the company.
Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of Digital budgeting and forecasting processes in order to effectively manage area of responsibility.
Collaborates effectively with peers across the Digital function, all other areas of the business, and managed service vendors. Works across the enterprise at all levels.
Fosters a continuous improvement mindset focused in pursuit of operationally excellent processes through standardization and automation best practices.
Develops, maintains and manages on-going metrics for the relevant Digital resources in order to qualify and quantify success and value to the business.
Bachelor’s Degree, in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent computer or applicable business related degree from an accredited college or university required. Master's level degree preferred. Ten or more years of relevant Digital experience as a supervisor, project leader, development or technical analyst leading the design and implementation of enterprise applications or end-user platforms required. Consideration may be given to candidates with extensive related experience (14 or more years) without the preferred academic requirements.
In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
Effective project management skills required.
Experience in client/customer relation management required.
The ability to manage multiple priorities with a high incidence of changing requirements while meeting aggressive deadlines and demanding work schedules required.
Knowledge of electric and gas utility industry preferred.
The supervisor, Client Application Development & Enablement works a standard day-shift in an office environment but may also need to work off-hours for project needs, support of upgrades/outages or system implementations.
