Job Description:

Leidos, Inc., the implementer for Ameren Illinois' award-winning energy efficiency programs, seeks a Technical Reviewer to perform a range of tasks in direct support of energy efficiency Business programs. This role's primary focus will be in support of the Small Business Energy Efficiency initiative under the direct supervision of the Manager of Small Business Initiatives and is required to judge and analyze energy related technical data independently. The Small Business Technical Reviewer position is ideal for a person with excellent technical skills and energy engineering experience with the ability to identify efficiency opportunities, calculate energy saving estimates, energy auditing, and communicate technical issues within the project team. The position will be responsible for reviewing technical energy efficiency applications for incentives and rebates for Ameren Illinois electric and natural gas customers. The position will help provide technical review of gas and electric utility demand-side management (DSM) projects around throughout the Ameren Illinois service territory. The candidate should have basic knowledge of the operation of different types of energy using systems within the residential, industrial, and/or commercial markets (HVAC, lighting, energy management systems, etc.). In addition, this position will research technology changes to support improvements to the energy efficiency program. The Small Business Technical Reviewer will work closely with other team members in ongoing technical maintenance of the Small Business Initiative. This role will also be asked to support other Business and Residential energy efficiency programs through similar technical review of projects and programs.

Additionally, the ideal candidate must have strong communication and time management skills with experience coordinating multiple high-quality deliverables on tight deadlines, be proactive in developing new solutions and processes, adaptable to change and enjoy working in a dynamic environment.

• Fulfill all requested technical analysis and review requests in a timely manner
• Support the Manager of Small Business Initiatives' management and maintenance of technical aspects of all current energy efficiency measures and incentives in the Small Business initiative
• Follow all procedures that ensures that material used on projects has been reviewed for eligibility and meets required criteria
• Work cooperatively with the Manager of Small Business Initiatives to manage and offer efficient upgrades to the project technical review process
• Work cooperatively and contentiously on a technical team, along with working with non-technical team members
• Participate in team meetings to provide updates and address action items
• Prepare deliverables in coordination with client and Management requests
• Support the Manager of Small Business Initiatives in preparation of weekly and monthly reports and forecasting for external and internal purposes
• Work in a team environment while supporting and interacting with cross-functional teams
• Clearly communicate all findings and information to multiple levels of technical familiarity
• Support other Business and Residential energy efficiency initiatives in technical analysis as needed and as directed

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or equivalent work experience) with 1+ years experience
• Should have prior experience in energy efficiency or similar industry
• Must be a team player, dedicated to program support, capable of multitasking and working several complex and diverse tasks
• Must be well organized, reliable, conscientious, and be capable of managing resources and schedules to meet deadlines. CEM or LEED certification is a plus

• Technical experience with energy efficiency or renewable energy technologies
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience with COMcheck, eQuest, Trane TRACE™, or Carrier HAP
• Familiarity with the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) and ASHRAE Efficiency Standards
• Good working knowledge skills with Microsoft Office Products, especially Microsoft Excel
• Experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines for a process-oriented position
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
• Strong planning, organization, time management, and team-building skills with demonstrated ability to make unanticipated changes to production deliverables required
