Transmission Engineer

 Lee County Electric Cooperative is hiring a Transmission Engineer in N. Fort Myers, FL

Position Summary: This position is responsible for all phases of designing mid to high voltage electrical transmission line systems for the electric utility industry, permitting, and overseeing the construction of capital transmission projects, and for establishing and maintaining transmission material and construction standards.

Required Qualifications for the various levels: 

Associate Transmission Engineer (ET5)

• B.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering 
• Florida driver's license or ability to obtain one upon employment

Transmission Engineer I (ET6)

• B.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering
• 3 years engineering experience
• 2 years’ experience in power engineering role
• 1 year experience in transmission design engineering role
• Florida driver's license or ability to obtain one upon employment

Transmission Engineer II (ET7)

• B.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering
• 7 years engineering experience
• 5 years’ experience in power engineering role
• 3 years’ experience in transmission design engineering role
• Florida driver's license or ability to obtain one upon employment
