Leidos is seeking an experienced Vulnerability Assessor to join a highly visible cyber security operations center (SOC) program.
Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Security Operations Center (SOC) Support Services is a US Government program responsible to monitor, detect, analyze, mitigate, and respond to cyber threats and adversarial activity on the DHS Enterprise. The DHS SOC has primary responsibility for monitoring and responding to security events and incidents detected at the Trusted Internet Connection (TIC) and Policy Enforcement Point (PEP) and is responsible for directing and coordinating detection and response activities performed by each Component SOC. Direction and coordination are achieved through a new shared DHS incident tracking system and other means of coordination and communication.
This position will provide Vulnerability Assessment support to the DHS SOC Support Services Program, focused on performing vulnerability scans of enterprise IT assets utilizing the approved scanning infrastructure. Additional responsibilities include performing research and analyzing current threats and vulnerabilities that may affect the enterprise, writing security advisories, and participating as team member performing focused adversarial assessments.
Perform research on current threats and vulnerabilities.
Author security advisories.
Manage enterprise vulnerability compliance.
Conduct vulnerability assessments of IT systems
Familiar with the management, operational, and technical aspects of IT Security in a complex enterprise environment.
