Workforce Strategy Consultant (Digital)

The Workforce Strategy Consultant will be responsible for helping to develop and deploy a robust workforce transformation plan for the Digital organization – which is engaged in a significant effort around running Digital with excellence while transforming for the future. This role will contribute at both the strategic and hands-on levels to drive critical talent outcomes for the Digital organization by ensuring effective execution of workforce strategy and related talent processes. This full time role will report to the Manager, Workforce Strategy and partner closely with key business stakeholders to ensure work is aligned with Ameren's overall strategy and direction. Critical to success will be effective working relationships with Digital leadership, HR teams and Communications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop strategic partnerships with Digital leadership and HR team members to help diagnose talent issues and formulate plans in conjunction with the Digital workforce and change strategy.
  • Draw on knowledge and skill in consulting, strategic planning, change management, organization design and development, leadership development and employee engagement to design, implement and evaluate programs and interventions to help transform the organization.
  • Work closely with the business process owners and HR teams to help develop innovative talent approaches that incorporate effective design thinking in areas such as workforce planning, talent selection & development, succession planning, off boarding, co-worker engagement, etc.
  • Create and manage work plans, communication and sustainability processes to support workforce strategy outcomes.
  • Champion and model thinking and behavior changes aligned with organizational culture change and Ameren development philosophies.
  • Stay current on research and practices in workforce strategy, organizational development and change management. Deepen expertise within the team and transfer practices to stakeholders and HR partners.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development or business-related field is required. Master's Degree in Organization Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Administration or a related discipline preferred. Five or more years of relevant professional level experience (e.g., change management, workforce strategy and planning, organizational effectiveness consulting, preferably with a business line) required.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Ability to build relationships and work effectively with all levels of leadership and across matrixed teams. Must have a solid understanding of business concepts tied to strategy, with a pragmatic approach for applying those concepts to work plans. Must have knowledge of change management practices and tools with the ability to influence the design, execution and measurement of significant change initiatives from beginning to end. Strong communication (oral and written) and presentation skills required. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects through advanced project management skills. Must possess an aptitude for understanding and leveraging technology.
